November 22, 2006:

24 boxes of comfort items shipped to the 240th Engineer Group in Afghanistan since July 1st. We thank the Freeport Elders and the Coldwell Banker office in Brunswick for their continued support of this effort. God Bless Our Troops.

June 30, 2006:

After 10 years, the 20th Maine retail store in Freeport closed it's doors to sell online exclusively.

October, 2005:

400 PHONE CARDS SENT TO TROOPS OVERSEAS.

With the help of many generous people, we raised $1600 and shipped 400 phone cards to Maine Army National Guard troops deployed overseas.

Our shipment of comfort items continues with approximately 30 shipped so far this year. We welcome any help or suggestions.

2005 TROOP SUPPORT CAMPAIGN UNDERWAY

The 20th Maine is shipping again, now to the 152nd Maintenance Company, Maine National Guard stationed in Iraq. Eight boxes have already gone out since the end of April with the help of the Freeport Elders and Col. Dale Corliss (ret.). Global phone cards are what the troops need the most. Anyone wishing to assist our efforts can be assured that items or funds will be handled with the utmost integrity and gratefully appreciated. 59 BOXES SENT TO TROOPS IN IRAQ SINCE MID APRIL!

The 20th Maine Troop Support Campaignfor 2004 wishes to thank the many in and outside of our local community who assisted with boxes and boxes of items to make our soldiers a little more comfortable and funds to help ship it all to Iraq. If time allows, we hope to post the names of all who helped. Meanwhile, since the 152nd F.A. Maine National Guard arrived home today and the 133rd Engineer Combat Battalion Maine National Guard is following soon, we are waiting for a new unit to arrive in the Middle East - the 152nd Maint. Unit.. Wewill be continuing this important work. Please send donations of product (contact us if suggestions are needed) or funds for shipping to the 20th Maine.
